Library Policy
Respect other library users. Talk quietly. Turn off cell phones and pagers. Respect the space. Food and drink not permitted in the library and
should be kept especially away from computers, VCR's and DVD players. Computer Use Guidelines
The computer research stations should be used
primarily for your educational and instructional needs. The computers in the
library support internet usage and some Microsoft applications. Assistance Librarians are available to help you locate
materials for research projects, may be able to answer Microsoft Word
questions and other general applications loaded. What you may NOT do on the computer Chatting is not allowed. Some chatting is allowed
on computers found in the Library. Time Limits Everyone is expected to limit their time to one
hour during peak computer use time periods. If staff requests that you to
stop any activity, you are expected to comply. Food and Drink You may not eat or drink near the computers.
Please leave your food and drinks on a designated table outside the library. Printing and Printer Paper Printing should be limited. We recommend that you
read or scan material online and print only what you need. If you don't have
time to read an entire article, please save or e-mail the article. Library
staff can assist. Scratch paper may be provided, so do not use
printer paper as scratch paper. Do not try to printout a document more than
once. If you need help, ask a member of the library staff. Ask before adding
paper, envelopes, transparencies, etc. Users are entitled to only one printed
copy of each of their documents. |
